News:
Britney Spears quits instagram. She posted a picture in a lacy black bikini and rambled about how she needed more money. I honestly thought it was an onlyfans promotion. ANYWAY, she also reached a divorce settlement with her ex husband. While also reaching a settlement with her father regarding her conservatorship. So, maybe it is an onlyfans announcement.
Taylor Swift dominates the top 10 in the top 100 again. She and Beyonce continually find ways to respectfully one up each other. Good for them. ANYWAY, Donna Kielce really likes the album.
The Weekend donates $2 million to provide 18 million loaves of bread to Gaza. Despite where you stand on the political isle, I respect someone who puts money where their mouth is. While still not saying anything controversial.
Toomaj Salehi, an Iranian rapper, has been sentenced to death for songs critical of the Iranian government. He released songs in support of the 2022 protests which sought to expand basic political freedoms to the Iranian people. Mainly sparked by the arrest of a woman, Masha Amini, who was detained for protesting theocratic Hijab laws. In a rare show of American pride, I’m glad we can make songs like “This is America” and “American Pie” showcasing the best and worst of what the American experience is like.
Country Music has never been hotter. Post Malone recently teamed with Brad Paisley and Dwight Yoakam at Stagecoach. In recent news, channel.wav’s team has decided to announce their debut album New Country Daddys on the Block.
Such:
What’s the channel.WAV listening to?
Botts: In case you weren’t aware, John had a diss against TSwizzle.
Slime: I mean, come on, right?
Ritter: Mason was just born, but I’m counting down the days. #MCRitter
New Music:
Our local Jack Kerouac, Brandon’s Slime, is traveling and will be updating the music for May either this week or next. In the meanwhile, I, Aaronius Sludge, will be giving the music I’m excited about for the forthcoming week.
Radical Optimism (album) - Dua Lipa: I’m excited to see what everyone’s favorite Barbie mermaid comes out with. I think she’s been plagued with what I call the ‘Hollister Lobby’ sound and I’m eager to see if she breaks out of it.
euphoria (single) - Kendrick Lamar: To quote the Simpson’s “Stop it! Stop it! He’s already dead…”
Risk (single) - Gracie Adams: Writer’s have declared her “Heir to Indie Pop.” Whether that’s a pun on well connected parents or producing really good music is yet to be determined.
To the Moon (singles) - Meghan Traitor: Do you like Meghan? I like Meghan. Let’s listen to her music.
Wranglers (single) - Miranda Lambert: The only reason this is on here is because I wear Wranglers.
Tennessee (single) - Kevin Abstract, Lil as X: I really want to beat Tennessee this year. Arrogant punks.
Buried Alive (single) - Chance the Rapper: I miss the days when he popped off. Now he makes solid music. But not pop off music.
That’s all I’ve got today folks. Revisit the substack webpage to see what BSlime adds from his writing adventures.
